The wines of this young winery, which has only 25 years, have become an essential standard in Spanish white wines. Located in the valley of O Rosal in the southernmost part of the Rías Baixas DO, home of the mythical Albariño, Terras Gauda elaborates high-quality and unique wines from native grape varieties. The vineyards, heavily influenced by the Atlantic and between 100 and 150 metres above sea level, occupy part of the slate area that, from Portugal, goes across the river Miño in its last section, before flowing through the lands of La Guardia. With the same philosophy of loyalty to the land and respect for outstanding work, Terras Gauda was settled in the town of Arganza (Bierzo DO) where its subsidiary Bodegas y Viñedos Pittacum makes crianza red wines from the Mencia grape variety.
Quinta Sardonia and Qs2 are the names of the prestigious red crianza wines that Viñedos y Bodegas Quinta Sardonia, S.L. (also a subsidiary of TG) makes exclusively from grapes of its own in Sardón de Duero (Valladolid).
